 FIREFIGHTER 1 & 2 / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Positions

Paid on Call Positions

The Clinton Fire Department will be taking applications for four positions to start the probationary period for the 2021 fiscal year. Fire Academy starts September of 2021 Emergency Medical Technician Course starts in early 2022.

For Applications stop by the Fire Station at 102 N. Jackson St.. Clinton or call 517-456-4371 during day time hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Also call the Fire Chief anytime of day at 517-605-1063. Before you make a decision to join a fire department you should have a very good understanding of the requirements and responsibility that come with that commitment. 

Clinton Fire Department - Explorer Group Post 76

The Explorer Group shall be known as the Clinton Fire Department Explorer Group sponsered by the Clinton Fire Department. Will be known as Post 76 (Explorer Group Post 76). The primary purpose of the group is to introduce members to phases of the fire service. The purpose of the group is to build desirabel qualities of charactor, to train to be effective citizens and to develop each explorer personal fitness (physical and mental), vocational skills, social aSspects, community service and understanding of our environment.

NEW APPARATUS FOR 2022

New Apparatus due for delivery to CFD August 1, 2022.

ENGINE 1 will be MADE IN MICHIGAN by Spencer Manufacturing. 

2022 Freightliner 114SD Crew Cab (5 personnel).

Detriot DD13 12.8L 505 HP 

Hale QMAX XS 2000 GPM. Poly 2500 Gallon Tank.

Engine 1 will replace Tanker 2 a Pierce 1994 Ford LTS 9000 with 1500 GPM Waterous Pump and a 2500 Gallon Poly Tank. Tanker 2 has been sold.
